14th February… a special day we all know about. Now celebrated all around the world, Valentine’s Day originated in North America, were people used to give their beloved ones flowers and cards.
The colors we see around us are pink and red, hearts all over the place, in different shapes and sizes, flowers, especially roses and of course lots of couples hugging and kissing.

This week, on Sunday 10th February 2008, the Annual Grammy Awards will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA. Presented by Natalie Cole, Juanes, Cyndi Lauper, Bette Midler and Bonnie Raitt we will have a great show with great performers such as Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Foo Fighters, Alicia Keys, and Rihanna.
As probably you already are a fan of the well-known German DJ, ATB, and you live in Romania, you have 2 chances to see and hear him loud and clear 
. On March 7th 2008 he will concert in Timisoara in Heaven Studio and on 8th March (also International Women’s Day) the concert moves to Bucharest (somewhere in a club).
With his debut single “9 PM (Till I Come)”, ATB has became world famous. Also mentioning “Ecstacy”, “You Are Not Alone”, “Let U Go” and one of my favourites “Renegade” (see the clip below). The female voice behind ATB’s “Let U Go” is the female lead vocalist of the “Wild Strawberries”, a Canadian rock band and as for “Renegade” is Heather Nova. ATB, by his real name André Tanneberger, is a well-known remixer too, making tracks by artists such as Moby, William Orbit and A-HA fit for the dance floor.
Do you miss the weekly episode of your favourite TV series ? I know i do . The Writers Guild of America strike has lasted 13 weeks and 0 days, as of February 4, 2008, but some sources gossip that the end is imminent as the writers made significant progress with the negotiations. The last strike, in 1988, lasted 21 weeks and 6 days, costing the American entertainment industry an estimated $500 million ($870 million in 2007 dollars).
So, any minute now we should hear that the strike is over and we can prepare to see the new upcoming in our favourite TV series. Keep your fingers crossed .
These two movies looked pretty promising so I thought you would be interested in them too. Both appear in July 2008, the first on 2nd and the second on 18th. In both films we have great actors, in Hancock we have Charlize Theron and Will Smith, who plays the main role as Hancock himself, a hard-living superhero, as for The Dark Knight we have Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Eric Roberts, Heath Ledger playing The Joker, as for Batman we have Christian Bale.

This could be the news of the day. Microsoft has offered no less than $44.6 billion for Yahoo!, which in the past 4 years had sliding profits because of Google’s Inc dominance over online searches and advertising markets. Even with a new management team, Yahoo!’s future in 2008 isn’t bright at all.
Yahoo! said it will “carefully and promptly” study Microsoft’s bid. While Yahoo is struggling, Microsoft is thriving and is very determined to purchase Yahoo!. This could mean a way out for Yahoo!’s drop. Or not ?
Based upon the successful video game series produced by Eidos Interactive, this action film is very impressive, despite being underrated by many movie sites. Besides all the killings that take place during these 100 minutes, there is a sensible touch added by Nika (the female character played by Olga Kurylenko). Also Agent 47 played by Timothy Olyphant looks pretty real (maybe sexy too for the ladies out there ). Critics say that this movie turned out better than expected and people who actually played the game and seen the movie stated: “This by far is the best video game adaptation movie I have ever seen.”
So, guess it’s a must see for you game fans (as I’m one of them I couldn’t help myself ).
P.S. I recommend seeing this movie with your beloved one, holding her tight in your arms whenever she gets frightened. Warm atmosphere included :X.
Maybe you’ve seen it, maybe not, but the new Rambo movie was released on 25 January 2008 (in the USA). As the movie tag says, “Heroes never die…. They just reload.”, Silvester Stallone plays again the role of John Rambo in this new 2008 sequel. As told by critics it’s the best Rambo movie in the series.
Stallone even if he is 62 years old, looks no more than 45 and his condition is impressive. A must for all action film fans and not only for them, Rambo is a really good movie and you should not miss it, because it’s the last film in the series.
